Willow - Tenja Skotte

All bags are of own design. The simple and light design characterises the soft shapes, which fits the woman´s figure. The simplicity of the design makes the bags timeless, topical, and easily combinable with other accessories. The bags are, without exception, woven with unsprayed willow, with handles or straps of leather. The colour of the bags is the natural colour of the willow used to make them.

Rattle
Once upon a time, when a basket maker came to a village seeking employment with the local basket maker, he had to go through a test. He was given 7 willow branches, and 7 pebbles. A real (or potential) basket maker would immediately know that he was to make a rattle. The 7 pebbles in the rattle represent the seven mortal sins. The rattle was given to newborn babies to protect them against pride, envy, sloth, greed, lust, gluttony, and wrath.
